Is It Okay to Give Away a 20-Day-Old Beagle Puppy?

It's generally not recommended to give away a 20-day-old Beagle puppy. A 20-day-old Beagle puppy is simply too young to be rehomed. At this age, they are still in the process of weaning and are typically not yet capable of eating solid dog food. The sudden change in environment can easily trigger stress responses in such young puppies. Their own regulatory abilities are weak and their immunity is still developing, making them vulnerable to infections and diseases. It's advisable to wait until the puppy is approximately one and a half months old and is able to obtain the necessary nutrients through eating dog food before rehoming. When giving the puppy away, it's recommended to prepare food and necessary supplies in advance. It's also beneficial to provide the new owner with some items carrying the mother's scent, like toys and blankets the puppy is familiar with, as this can greatly help the puppy adjust to their new surroundings. Before the transfer, it's important to communicate with the new owner, providing them with details about the puppy's feeding and care routine.
