Do Scottish Folds Need Chondroitin Supplements from a Young Age? And Are There Any That Don't Develop the Disease?

When a Scottish Fold develops the genetic disorder, the bone development can lead to deformation causing intense pain due to friction. In such cases, feeding chondroitin can help protect the lubrication of the bone joints and relieve the cat's pain. However, it's important to note that chondroitin is only suitable for Scottish Folds that show symptoms of the disease. Healthy, asymptomatic Scottish Fold cats do not require this supplement.
