Why is My Turtle Not Eating and Constantly Pacing?

It's highly unusual for a turtle to refuse food and continuously pace; this behavior is often linked to improper dry-keeping, inadequate water levels, or incorrect water temperature. In such circumstances, turtles may literally starve themselves rather than eat or behave normally. Their mental state and mood will be noticeably negative, and they'll often try to escape their enclosure with any bit of energy they possess. Turtles are primarily aquatic creatures and can only eat when they are in water with a sufficient depth. They can't swallow food properly otherwise. Dry or low-water setups have a significant impact on a turtle’s daily activities, mood, and eating habits; this is one of the most common mistakes made by turtle owners.
