Pomeranian Car Sickness: What to Do When Your Pom Vomits and How Long It Takes to Recover

If your Pomeranian vomits due to car sickness, the first thing you should do is pull over as soon as it's safe to do so and allow your dog some time to get out of the car and move around in an open area. Usually, after a short break, your Pomeranian will start to feel better. When a Pomeranian experiences vomiting because of motion sickness, it is advisable to stop the vehicle immediately and take the dog to a spacious and well-ventilated place. In most cases, your dog will recover on its own. Several factors cause car sickness in dogs, including the small car space, bumpy rides, and unusual odors. Usually, long-distance trips are more likely to lead to symptoms like vomiting in dogs. Therefore, it's recommended to withhold food for at least eight hours before a car journey.
