How Long Are Teddy Dogs Pregnant Before Giving Birth?

Teddy dogs typically give birth after a gestation period of 57 to 63 days. About a week after successful mating, you may notice some changes in your Teddy, such as a rapid contraction of her vulva, followed by possible vomiting and loss of appetite. Around four weeks into the pregnancy, you might be able to feel the developing embryos by gently palpating her abdomen. While the average gestation period for dogs is between 57 and 63 days, it is generally closer to 62 days. In the first week post-mating, a Teddy's vulva will likely contract quickly. During weeks three and four, she might experience vomiting or a loss of appetite. These are normal pregnancy symptoms. Between days 20 and 30 of the gestation period, the Teddy's mammary glands will start to become more prominent, her breasts will enlarge, and her nipples will turn a rosy pink color.
