Can You Own a Shiba Inu in Zhengzhou?

Yes, it is permissible to own a Shiba Inu in Zhengzhou. Shiba Inus are classified as medium-sized dogs, and as long as owners obtain a dog license, they can legally keep them as pets.

Shiba Inus are not on the list of prohibited aggressive breeds in Zhengzhou, which means they can be registered and licensed. When keeping a dog in Zhengzhou, it is necessary to prepare all the required documents and follow the correct procedure to obtain a dog license.

Promoting responsible pet ownership is essential. Dog licenses not only serve a regulatory purpose, but they also act as proof of ownership, similar to property deeds or vehicle registration documents. For instance, if a dog is lost or stolen due to the owner's negligence, the dog license is the most effective piece of evidence to reclaim and seek compensation. A licensed dog is treated as a registered entity, much like people with IDs. Unlicensed dogs are considered illegally owned and could be subject to fines or confiscation when authorities conduct inspections. Therefore, obtaining a dog license is extremely crucial.

Shiba Inu Intelligence Compared to Humans

The intelligence of Shiba Inus is relatively low among dog breeds, comparable to that of a two-year-old human child. This lower intelligence is innate and cannot be enhanced through supplements or diet. However, Shiba Inus are incredibly loyal. With consistent training, they can still learn various skills.

Despite their lower intelligence compared to other dog breeds, Shiba Inus are generally gentle and obedient. They are unlikely to initiate attacks on other animals. While they are receptive to training, they tend to be stubborn and can be quite rigid. Harsh punishment is not an effective training method. Successfully training a Shiba Inu requires skill and patience.

Shiba Inus have keen eyesight and a sharp sense of smell. They are also known for being clean animals. Regular grooming is necessary; bathing once a week in summer and once every ten days in autumn is recommended. If trained well, they can make exceptional companions. Given that Shiba Inus are active and energetic, it’s advisable to take them out for walks every day if time permits.
