Is a 500 Yuan Corgi Really Possible?

A Corgi priced at 500 yuan is highly unlikely to be legitimate. It's very probable that such a dog would be a mixed-breed or have underlying health issues. Generally, a Corgi with average conformation typically costs between 2,500 to 3,500 yuan on the market. If the dog has excellent conformation and a purebred lineage, the price will be even higher.

It is not advisable to buy a Corgi for 500 yuan. It’s more than likely to be a mixed-breed or a dog with health problems. Currently, a Corgi with an ordinary appearance and basic lineage costs around 2,500 to 3,500 yuan. A purebred Corgi with a pedigree certificate but average appearance is about 5,000 yuan. Those with good looks typically cost upwards of 8,000 yuan, and show-quality Corgis are never priced below 10,000 yuan. It’s highly recommended that you purchase from more reputable pet stores and avoid being enticed by extremely low prices to prevent being scammed.

Corgis are known for their short legs. A purebred Corgi's leg length usually does not exceed 10cm. Their eyes are black, the surrounding areas of their eyes are also primarily black, and the white of their eyes is clearly separated from the pupils. They should have a clear, innocent expression. Their ears should gradually taper to a rounded tip, appearing like an equilateral triangle, with a straight line from the tip of their nose going through the eye to the tip of the ear. Most Corgis are either docked or have naturally short tails. A non-docked tail should follow the natural curve of their back line, pointing downwards and not curving up over their back. When the Corgi is active, its tail may raise to parallel with its back and lowers when it is at rest.
